"Josie" was the daughter of Charlie "Bro Jack" Jackson and Marie Hutchings Jackson. She was the 6th of 12 children. She was educated in the Jones County School System, graduating from Gray High School in 1951. She attended Georgia Baptist College in Macon, Georgia and later attended Prince George College in the Maryland/DC area. She relocated to Suitland, Maryland in her adulthood. She was employed with AID Foreign (the U.S. Secret Service) in Roslyn, Virginia for 26 years, retiring in 2000. In 1965, she joined Trinidad Baptist Church in Washington, DC where she served on the Usher Board. She remained faithful there for 48 years until her passing. Her favorite songs included "Yes, Jesus Loves Me" and "Let The Church Say Amen". Her favorite Scripture was Psalm 23. She had a special love for Sunday School. She never had children of her own, but she doted on her many nieces and nephews and siblings.

2 Brothers: Joseph Jackson and Overseer Robert Jackson(Josephine).
1 Aunt: Henrietta Balkcom.
3 Devoted Friends Of Over 50 Years: Geneva Whiteside, Freddie Whiteside and Dorothy Prout.


Services were held at 12 noon Thursday, July 25, 2013 in the Sanctuary of Temple of God Apostolic Church, 3015 Churchill Street, Macon, Georgia with Overseer Gregory Taylor officiating.
