ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Mary Jo Jackson Archie of 1129 Haynes St. died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005, at Piedmont Medical Center. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Flint Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dwayne Brown officiating and the Rev. Walter B. White delivering the eulogy. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park -- Hollis Lake. A native of York County, Mrs. Archie was a daughter of the late Harriett Jackson Williams. She was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church, where she was a former usher and member of the adult choir. She attended York County schools. Surviving are her husband, Johnnie F. Archie; two sons, Aaron A. Archie and Kenneth L. Archie, both of Rock Hill; three daughters, Carol A. Mapp and Geraldine A. Dye, both of Rock Hill, and Jacqueline A. Dickerson of Charlotte; her grandson whom she raised, Christopher L. Archie of Rock Hill; 10 additional grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janette E. Archie. The body may be viewed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church. The family will receive friends at home. Robinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
