Eva Jackson AdamsEDGEMOOR - Mrs. Eva Jackson Adams, 88, of 2483 Twilight Road, Edgemoor, S.C., departed this life on May 28, 2014, at her home. She was born in Chester County on Aug. 30, 1926. She was preceded in death in by her husband, Abraham Adams Sr.; parents, Mr. Joseph Jackson and Mrs. Elmira Douglas Jackson; three brothers, Willie Lewis Jackson, Henry Jackson Sr. and Caesar Jackson; and one sister, Mrs. Icelean Porter. She attended the public schools of York County. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church where she was a member of the hymn choir. Mrs. Adams leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Ruby (Charles) Culp of Rock Hill, S.C., Josephine (late Johnny) Culp and Shelly Adams, both of Edgemoor, S.C.; four sons, Abraham (Deloris) Adams II and Alonzo (Phyllis) Adams, both of Rock Hill, S.C., Donnie Adams of Edgemoor, S.C., and Michael Adams of Atlanta, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Faye Brown; one brother-in-law, Larry Adams; and five sisters-in-law, Miss Brenda Adams, Miss Joann Adams, Mrs. Jeanette Adams, Mrs. Poinsetta (Peter) Stevenson and Mrs. Mildred Burns, all of Rock Hill, S.C.; 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Parker Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2014, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, 1781 Dunlap Roddey Road, Rock Hill, S.C. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
