MULLINS - Mrs. Pauline Jackson Altman, 86, widow of Willie Zack "Bill" Altman, died Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Mullins Nursing Center after an extended illness.

Mrs. Altman was born April 10, 1928 in Marion County, a daughter of the late George Bernice Jackson and the late Corine Britt Jackson. She was a loving homemaker who touched many lives through her cake baking and seamstress work.

Surviving Mrs. Altman are: her Children: Billy S. Altman of Mullins, Richard L. (Linda) Altman of Bonneau, Sherrie (Ernie) Hinson of Mullins and Kathy (Robert) Wallace of Mullins; a Daughter-in-Law: Karen Altman Townsend of Mullins; 12 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters: Jean J. (George) Smith of Mullins and Elsie J. (Buddy) Cooper of Loris; 2 Brothers: Jimmy L. (Edith) Jackson of Mullins and Bobby L. Jackson of Mullins; 2 Sisters-in-Law: Ida Mae Jackson Gerald of Dillon and Gloria Jackson of Loris; and many special nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Altman was predeceased by a son, James A. Altman and 5 brothers, Harry B. (Ora Mae) Jackson, Jackie Jackson, Billy Jackson, Johnny Jackson and Baby Lonnie Jackson.

The family will receive friends Monday afternoon, February 2, from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. Jason Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Devotion Gardens Cemetery.
