She was born Nov. 14, 1937, in Nicholas County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Carlin and Janie Jackson. She is also a stepdaughter of Mary Jackson of Mineral Wells, W.Va.
She was a member of Middle Ridge Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed walking and belonged to various walking clubs.
She is survived by one daughter, Vicki Barcley (Lee Richards) of Waverly; a Special Friend, Shirley Sams; one grandson, Cassidy (Candace) Barcley of Waverly, W.Va.; two great-grandchildren, Braylen and Kourtlynn; two brothers, Carlin B. (Karen) Jackson of Oregon and Rodney Jackson of Mineral Wells; and one sister, Marcella Rake of Parkersburg. She is also survived by nieces, Brenda Cantwell, Pam Reeder, Lora Rake and Melissa Calhoun and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Duward Barcley; three sisters, Sharon George, Avonelle Pierce and Charlotte Whiting; and a brother-in-law, Paul Rake.
Friends and family are invited to attend the graveside service at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, at Middle Ridge Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Doug Guinn officiating.
