TUSCALOOSA--Eva Jean Jacobs, age 80, of Tuscaloosa, died March 15, 2013, at home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Elmwood Cemetery with Joe Williams officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon F. Jacobs; parents, Bevely and Moyle Cobb; sisters, Nelda Cobb and Peggy Cobb; and brother, Buford Cobb.

Survivors include her daughters, Cathy Diane Broussard of Baytown, Texas, Cynthia Darlene Hopmann (Bill) of Alvin, Texas, and Cecelia Devon "Cricket" Kizziah (Alan) of Tuscaloosa; sons, Stephen Bruce Jacobs (Peggy) of Baytown, Texas and Jeffery Alan Jacobs of Baytown, Texas; and grandchildren, Michelle Smith of Baytown, Texas, Gordon F. Alpha of Baytown, Texas, Jeremy Scott Jacobs of California, Ricky A. Holloway of Mont Belvieu, Texas, Candace Morrison Sanders of Greenwood, Miss., and Chelsea Diane Morrison of Tuscaloosa.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
