Ethel J. James, age 87, of Barneveld, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Pine Valley Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Richland Center.
She was born on June 20, 1923, in Iowa County, Wis., the daughter of William Sr. and Nora (Moyer) Roberts. Ethel was married on Oct. 4, 1986, to Wendell James. She was a member of the Arena Bible Church.
Survivors include, her husband, Wendell James of Barneveld; three sons, Don (Deborah J.) Winch of Arena, Thomas (Sybille) Winch of Werhiem, Germany, and Marvin (Deborah K.) Winch of Dodgeville; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Sr. and Nora Roberts, 1st husband, Roy Winch, a son, Royce Winch; four brothers, William Jr., Marvin, Woodrow and Albert Roberts; four sisters, Alice Gates Kleist, Della Hanson, Eva Richardson and Lucille Winch.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Arena Bible Church. Pastor Jerry Bauman will officiate with burial in the Arena Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday at the Arena Bible Church from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m.
