Died, at 9:50 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 6, 1902, at a sanitarium in Milwaukee, after an illness of two months, Mrs. Ferdinand Kuechler of this city, aged 47 years. W. S. Jayne, brother of the decedent, and her husband have gone to Milwaukee. They left before news of the death was received in Springfield, having been summoned by news of her serious illness.
Mrs. Kuechler is survived by her husband; one son, William Kuechler; one daughter, Bessie Kuechler; her father, Dr. William Jayne, and one brother, W. S. Jayne.
Mrs. Kuechler was one of the well known Springfield women. She was the only daughter of Dr. William Jayne (and Julia Wetherbee) and was a cousin of Mrs. Richard Yates. She was born in Springfield and had resided in this city all her life. In 1878, in this city, she was married to F. C. Kuechler.
A member of the First Presbyterian church, Mrs. Kuechler had always been prominent in church work. She was interested in the societies of this church and had been an earnest and useful member of the congregation.
