Nancy Ellen Jayne was born in Dec 1852 in Kentucky, the daughter of Alexander and Sufrona Highfill Jayne.

She married James Madison Corbin on April 7, 1870. In August 1891 James, Nancy and children left Jasper county to make their home in Ennis, Ellis county, Texas. James died there in Dec 1892.

Nancy and the children returned to Jasper county and she married Alonzo DuFrain in 1896. Nancy died March 9, 1906.

The children of James and Nancy were: Nellie Corbin Kincaide, Carrie Corbin James, Delphia Corbin Jamerson, Alma, Mattie May DeFrain, Carolin Corbin McCormack and Alexander.
