Goldie Finn,61, Route 4, Newton, died at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 1980, in Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital, in Mattoon, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, at Newton Free Methodist Church with Evangelist Richard Emrich and Rev. J. Rolland Seybold officiating. Burial will be in Aten cemetery, in Hidalgo.
Mrs. Finn was born November 30, 1918, in Jasper County, a daughter of Cassius and Minnie (Clagg) Jayne. She married John W. Finn on June 16, 1936, and he survives.
Surviving are sons, Otis of Manteno, Il., Larry, Dale, and John David, all of Newton; daughters, Mrs. Cleo (Connie) Baker of Brant Park, Il., Mrs. Gene (Ruby) Maples and Mrs. Gary (Mary Ann) Scurlock, all of Newton, Mrs. Warren (Martha)Krueger of Manteno, Mrs. John (Judy) Burgess of Beecher, and Mrs. Randy (Glenda) Warren of Grant Park, Il.; three brothers, Jasper Jayne of Newton, Rev. Tony Jayne of Salem, and Faye Jayne of Wichita, Kans.;two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Hamilton of Wheeler and Mrs. Chlora Watkins of Wichita, Kans.; 30 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Finn was a member of the Newton Free Methodist Church and a homemaker.
