Mr. Jensen was born March 19, 1952, in Bremerton, where he attended schools and Olympic College. In 1976 he graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics from Montana Tech, School of Mineral Science and Technology. He was continuing his education at the time of his death.
As a youth he was active in North Perry Pee-Wees and in Boy Scouts, where he achieved the rank of Star Scout. He was active in band and track during high school. At the time of his death he was employed by the oil company. Exeter Service Company of Denver, in Riverside, Wyo.
Survivors include his mother, Virginia M., 2314 Stoneway, his father, John R., 12 Baringa Road Taroona, Tasmania, Australia; two brothers, Dennis, Shelby, Mont., Donald, Bremerton; a sister, Linda, Bremerton; maternal grandmother, Ethel Kasson, Bremerton; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Jensen, Napavine; an aunt, an uncle and two cousins.
