Louise Sylliboy, better known to the community as Kiju Malikr, 75, Eskasoni, formerly of Malagawatch, died Thursday, August 5, 1999, at home in Eskasoni.
Born at Malagawatch, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bridget (Marshall) Joe of Malagawatch. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Eskasoni.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Denny (Douglas), Mrs. Sylvia Delny (Eugene), Ms. Theresa Ann Sylliboy, all of Eskasoni, Mrs. Irene Googoo, Whycocomagh; one son, Dale Sylliboy, of Eskasoni; two brothers, Mr. James Joe and Roddie Bernard; nieces, Roberta Rodriguez and Linda Baldwin; nephews, Danny Marion, David Marion and Kevin Marion; brother-in-law, Albert Marion, all of Windsor, Ont.; sister-in-law, Nancy Morris, Eskasoni; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gabriel, in 1994; a daughter, Bernadette Bernard; stepmother, Granny Elizabeth Joe; three brothers, Alex Joe, James Bernard and John Bernard; five sisters, Mary Ann Marion, Mary Elizabeth Joe, Mary Martha Joe, Nancy Joe and Margaret Lafford.
Mrs. Louise Sylliboy will be waked at the Gabriel Centre beginning 7 p.m. today. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Holy Family Parish, Eskasoni with the Rev. Robert MacNeil officiating. Interment in Holy Family Parish Cemetery, Eskasoni.
