Mary Margaret Ruston ESKASONI Mary Margaret Ruston, 73, of Eskasoni passed away Jan. 21, 2006, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital after alengthy illness.
Born at Potolek, she was the daughter of the late John Joe and Sarah Paul of Malagawatch. She was a member of our Lady of Fatima parish. Mary was well known for her quill work and her crafting skills. She was an avid bingo and 45s player. She is survived by daughter, Sarah 'Sally' (David); and sons, Patrick (Eleanor) and Kenneth 'Kennis'. Also surviving is special godmother , Dr. 'Granny' Margaret Johnson and godchildren, Mabel Francis,
Gerald Johnson and Kenny Stevens and auntie, Caroline Gould; grandchildren, Tanya, Terena, Tma, Nigel, Jeremiah, Kattirin, Lóli Ján, Brittney, Nathan, and Shara; and 24 great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are sisters,
Susie Jane Stevens, Margaret Paul; and brothers, James Joe,Donald Joe, Charlie Joe, Dana Joe, and Keith Joe; and by extended family and
stepchildren in Ontario. Mary was predeceased by her first husband Roddie T. Johnson, second husband,Joseph Ruston, infant son, Thomas and sister, EvelynGinnish. Visitation for the late Mary Ruston will be at the GabrielCenter, Eskasoni beginningTuesday evening with a funeral mass Thursday, Jan. 26, at10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Eskasoni with Fr. Martin MacDougall officiating.Burial in the parish cemetery.
