Born in Yazoo City, Mississippi to Johnny and Vivian Johnson. She accepted Christ at an early age. "Meme" as she was known, was a true entrepreneur, with a heart of gold. She maintained several businesses throughout her life, and was one of the first female African-American business owners in Inkster. She opened Carter's Record & Variety Shop and was one of "Cardboard City's" first residents. She was truly "Big Mama" in the neighborhood, she did not mind lending a hand or sharing her wealth of knowledge.
She leaves to mourn her passing her 3 grandchildren, Tonia, Colston Jr. & Rhonda Glover, and Melvin Glover, 14 Great Grands, 7 Great Great Grands, family and friends.
