Maxine Marie Campbell, age 91, passed away quietly on May 14, 2015, after a short illness.
Maxine is survived by her children, Kathleen Pirolo and Ray and Gerald William Campbell and Christine Burns, all of Albuquerque, Gregory Bryan Campbell and Carol of Rio Rancho and Harlen Joseph Campbell Jr. and Donna of Cave Creek, AZ. Maxine is also survived by ten grandchildren, Reoyne Cook, Melody Gonzales, Matt Pirolo, Leigh Ann Gregory, Stephen Gregory, Lindsey Whitney, Cory Campbell, Lisa Pruitt, Darryll Pruitt, Amanda Campbell and their families.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Frances Johnson of Dassel, MN, her brother, Fred Johnson, her husband of 59 years, Harlen Joseph Campbell Sr., her daughter-in-law, Ann Hadden Campbell and one grandchild, Charles Alan Gregory.
Born in Dassel, MN, Maxine moved to Albuquerque with her husband in 1947. Maxine spent her working life helping Harlen in their business, Crest Construction, and raising their children. Together they built many homes in Albuquerque. Maxine was deeply loved and will be missed.
A Rosary will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at French – Wyoming. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Church, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maxine’s memory to Catholic Charities, 3301 Candelaria Rd. NE, Ste B, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
