Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar D. Allred.
Barbara is survived by her four children, Alise Blankenship of Albuquerque, Julie Allred of Albuquerque, Michael Allred and his wife, Margaret of Rio Rancho and Steven Allred and his wife, Mary of Everett, Washington, one sister Janice Wright, and her husband, William of Houston, Texas, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara worked at Lovelace Medical Center for 22 years before retiring in 1990. Barbara was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Barbara touched lives of everyone she knew through her generosity, sense of humor, and her loving personality.
Barbara will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 5, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Daniels Family Funeral Services- Carlisle Chapel, 3113 Carlisle Blvd. NE. Funeral services will be held in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1100 Indian School NE on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE. Pallbearers will be Josh Crawley, John Solano, Daniel Solano, Victor Sánchez, Marcus Villarose and Cole Papen.
