8056 Serjeant Albert Johnson, was Killed in Action on the 10th.October 1915, Aged 27, while serving in 'C' Company of the 2nd.Battalion, The Royal Berkshire Regiment.

Son of Mr.Charles and Mrs. Annie Sophia Johnson (d.30-11-1926) , of 7, King's Meadow Rd., Reading later 108 Cholemley Road.

As a soldier in the British Expeditionarty (BEF) and under fire before the 22-11-1914, Albert would later be referred to as an 'Old Contemptible'

Albert's next of kin would later receive his awarded WW1 medals, the 1914 (Mons) Star, British War Medal & Victory Medal together with a Memorial Scroll & Bronze Plaque.
