Vernon Man Killed at St. Eloi

Pte. Andrew Johnston
A native of County Tyrone, Ireland, who was formerly a member of the British Columbia provincial police stationed at Greenwood. He was also well known at Vernon, having lived there for some time. He was a brother-in-law of R.N.Clerke, chief of police of Vernon. Pte. Johnson left for England last October with a British Columbia regiment and had only been at the front since January.
