Grace Helen (Lynn) Jones was born on July 8, 1924 in Gainesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of Dillard Asberry Lynn (1903–1981) and Jennie Sue (Prewitt) Lynn (1899–1989). Dillard and Jennie were married on September 21, 1921 in Jackson County.
A graduate of East Nashville High School, Grace also attended Watkins Institute, where she developed skills in children's sewing and Southern cooking, that her family will always remember.
She was married about 1944 to Charles William Jones.
A member of Riverside Drive Church of Christ, Grace served as president of the Inglewood Elementary School PTA and retired from the Tennessee National Guard Armory.
A resident of Nashville, Tennessee, she was 89 years old when she passed away on December 9, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a brother Troy Eugene Lynn (1922–2009). Survivors included a son; a daughter; five grandchildren: nine great-grandchildren; a brother; a niece; and four nephews.
Burial was in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
