MACON - Javene J. Hollis, 73, died Wednesday night in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11A.M., Saturday at Bellevue Baptist Church with burial in Macon Memorial Park. The Rev. Keith Brickell and Dr.
Neal Wall will officiate. The family will meet friends from 7:00 until 9:00P.M., Friday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono
Avenue, and may be contacted at the residence of Scott and Brandi Mitchell, 3012 Benton Drive, Macon, GA 31216. They suggest that those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Food Bank at Bellevue Baptist Church, 3805 Napier Avenue, Macon, GA 31204.
Mrs. Hollis was the wife of the late Rev. Hubert L. Hollis and the late Phillip Ronald Mitchell, Sr.
She was born in Dodge County the daughter of the late James Matthew and Reba Kinchens Jones and had lived in Macon most of her life. Retired from Southern Bell, Mrs. Hollis was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and was a Volunteer at Bellevue Baptist Church Food Bank.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie (Peter) Maltese of Duluth and Ginger (Steve) Veal of Macon; two sons, Phillip Mitchell and Scott (Brandi) Mitchell, all of Macon; a granddaughter, Abby Mitchell; four step-grandchildren, Corie Veal, Casey Veal, Michael Maltese and Yvette Maltese; a sister, Irene (Charles) Garrett of Macon; two brothers, John R.S. Jones of Milledgeville and Ray (Myrtle) Jones of Eatonton; several nieces and nephews.
