Dorothy "Dot" (Gober) Jones was born on July 21, 1926 in Madison, Tennessee, the daughter of William Curtis Guber and Sarah Louise ( -- ) Gober.
During her days at Goodlettsville High School, she played basketball, scoring all 29 points against Litton High School. She also won several War Bond selling contests during World War II. Later she worked at DuPont - Old Hickory in the Nylon Spinning Group.
She was married in 1946 to her childhood sweetheart Willie B Jones.
Dot and Willie B saw the world together, traveling and living in many countries. Dot enjoyed doting on her family, volunteering as a Pink Lady in Veterans Hospitals, playing golf, and baking for everyone.
A resident of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, she was 88 years old when she passed away on January 30, 2015 in The Woodlands, Texas.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband and by her son William R "Bill" Jones, she is survived by a married daughter; six married grandsons; twelve great-grandchildren; a brother; a daughter-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
