Mr. Jones retired from Rice Engineering & Operating, Inc. in 1989.
Survivors include his wife, a sister, a son, three step children, two grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, a number of nephews, nieces and cousins
He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Floris Jones, his brother, T.R. Jones, an infant daughter and his nephew Fred Cruse III.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at First United Methodist Church, Great Bend, Kansas followed by interment in the Great Bend Cemetery with military rites.
