Clifford was born March 21, 1932 in Columbia, Richland County, South Carolina to Oliver Hickman Joyner and Lottie Alice Player.
He married Karma Leoan Fickes on May 7, 1954, and they were later sealed in the Logan, Utah Temple.
Cliff served in the Air Force for four years, where he began his life's career as an Air Traffic Controller for the FAA for 30 years at the Southern Regional Air Traffic Control Center in Hampton, Georgia.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Karma Leoan; two sons and two daughters, Terri Denise Joyner, Lindon, Robyn Delayne (Greg) Branning of Houston, Texas, Brent Lamont (Cheryl) Joyner of Lehi, Utah, and Wallace Keith (Lesley) Joyner of Rancho Santa Fe, California. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister, Jack Fulton Joyner, Decatur, Georgia, Lilburn Clark Joyner, West Columbia, South Carolina, and Carolyn Elizabeth Freebairn, Salt Lake City, Utah. He is preceded in death by an older brother, Oliver Harold, and by his son, Dr. Crandon Neil Joyner, who is survived by his wife, Carmen Abigale Pineda, Penryn, California.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 1999 at 1:00 p.m. in the Lindon Utah West Stake Center, 250 West 600 South, Lindon, Utah. (1050 West 1600 North, Orem). Friends may call on Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 600 East 800 North, Orem, and on Tuesday at the Stake Center from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. prior to the services.
Burial will be in the Lindon City Cemetery.
