Former Resident Dies, California
ARTESIA, Calif. - Mrs. Ethel W. Buehler, a former resident of Ritzville,
Wash., died recently in Artesia, Calif., after a long illness.
She was born in Oregon City, Ore., on March 13, 1878, as Ethel Kaufmann.
She worked as a school teacher after graduation from Cheney Normal school and
later was employed in the county auditor's office before her marriage.
Mrs. Buehler lived in Ritzville until 1923 when she moved to Eugene, Ore.
She was in that Oregon city until her husband's death in 1941.
Burial services were to be held in Eugene.
She is survived by three children, Mrs. Howard Stabler of Juneau, Alaska;
Miss Vida Buehler of Long Beach, Calif., and Bruce Buehler, also of Long Beach,
and a sister, Mrs. Mel Axtell of Boise, Ida.
