Mrs Ella M Davis, a lifelong resident of the Village of Greenport, passed away
at the Eastern Long Island Hospital on Sunday, January 5th. Mrs Davis, who was
in her 81st year, was born in Greenport, a daughter of James M and Anna Kaye.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Pilgrim Council, Daughters of
America and The Loyalty Club. Surviving Mrs Davis are her husband James Davis;
a sister Mrs Ann K Battle of Franklin, Tenn; and a brother Robert Kaye of
Greenport. Funeral services were held at the Horton Funeral Home on Wednesday
January 8th, Rev William A Sheraton, Rector of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church,
officiating. Interment was in Sterling Cemetery.
