Daughter of John KNOTT & Anna Louise BELL.

Married Dr. Clark Sherwood KELLOGG on 1 Jan 1857 in Richland County, Ohio [see attached marriage record]. He was born in Delaware Co., New York on 5 May 1817, and died in Salem, Marion Co., Illinois in 1869.

After Dr. Clark Sherwood Kellogg's death, Hannah Bertha Knott (1833-1902) took her children to Owosso, Shiawassee, Michigan for a while. Then they moved to Lansing, Michigan where her brother, Robert Knott then lived and had a hat business. She and her children remained there for many years. In about 1902, Robert Barkdull Kellogg (1861-1933) moved his family from Lansing to Grand Rapids, including his mother Hannah and his two sisters and their husbands.

Clark Sherwood Kellogg was the son of Nathan Kellogg and Lucy Sherwood. The Kellogg genealogy by Timothy Kellogg published in 1904 has only sketchy information on Nathan and some of the information is incorrect or misleading. CSK had several brothers:
Amos (1819-1845) unmarried;
Hiram (1823-___);
Darwin b. Cayuga Co., 1825 to Adrian MI
and Swanton, Fulton Co., IN;
Nathan Sherwood b. NY 1827, in 1850 census he is living with his parents in Seneca Co., OH.

Nathan Kellogg's father was Nathan Fairchild Kellogg who served in the Revolutionary war. He lived in Ridgefield, Conn. He is a descendant of Daniel Kellogg who came to Hartford, Conn. in 1640.
