Death of an Old Resident
Yesterday, at one-half past two o’clock P.M., Mrs. William Andrus, relict of William Andrus, deceased, died of palsy, at her residence, 15 Prospect street. Mrs. Andrus had been sick but a few days, and her sudden death will be a shock to a large circle of friends. The deceased was an old resident of Ithaca, having moved here from the State of Connecticut some fifty years ago. She was a constant attendant at and, we believe a member of the Dutch Reformed Church of this place. Her long and blameless life amongst us had endeared her in an unusual degree to our citizens, and she goes down to the tomb at the ripe age of seventy-two beloved and lamented by all. The funeral services will be held at her late residence, to-morrow (Friday) at 3 o’clock P.M.
