Funeral services for 86 year old Helen A. Angerer of Grandview, Iowa will be held on Saturday, January 18, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wapello, Iowa.

Visitation will be held on Friday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction from 4-8 p.m. with a Scriptural Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery, Grandview, Iowa.

Helen Angerer died on Tuesday, January 14, 1997 at her home after a brief illness. A memorial has been established at the funeral home.

Helen Adelaide Kelso was born September 1, 1910 in Sac City, Iowa to Myron and Nellie Michel Kelso. After graduation from school Helen worked as a telephone operator. Helen then taught country school north of Lone Tree, Iowa for several years.

Helen Kelso married George Angerer June 14, 1940 in Kahoka, Missouri. After their children graduated from school Helen worked as a school cook with the L&M School system for 15 years before retiring.

Helen was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, and the Catholic Daughters of America. Helen was a 43 year member of the Grandview Federated Women's Club.

Helen is survived by her husband, George Angerer, Grandview; six children, Keith Ruppert, Prescot, Arizona, James Angerer, Marion, IA, Mrs. C. "Butch" (Elaine) McCulley, Columbus Junction, Mrs. Ron (Lois) Johnson, Lanett, Alabama, Mrs. Don (Christine) Sylvester, Peoria, IL, and George Noel Angerer, Trinidad, Bolivia. There are 16 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Mrs. Frances Kelso, Cedar Rapids.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Amos Kelso.
