Eva S. Alberding

The funeral service is at 10:30 a.m. today at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home for Brown County schoolteacher and lifelong resident Eva S. Kelso Alberding, 73, who died on Sunday, January 9, 1983, at Morgan County Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for one week.

A Lick Creek Road resident, Mrs. Alberding was born on May 23, 1909 to Lewis and Ida Warford Kelso.

She married Clarence Alberding on June 26, 1953 in Unionville and he survives.

Mrs. Alberding retired in 1974 after 40 years teaching including Sprunica and Helmsburg elementary schools.

In 1975 she recieved a distinguished service award from Cottonwood Christian Church where she had been a member most of her life.

She was a member of Hopeful Planters Garden Club.

Also surviving are a stepdaughter, martha Rock, of Florida; a sister, Norma Moore of Springfield, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews in Brown County.

A stepson and two brothers preceded her in death.

Rev. Harry Hebenthal will conduct the service followed by burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
