BRICKEN- Mrs.Burna May Bricken, wife the wife of Mr.C.R.Bricken, State Solicitor of this Judicial circuit,and the youngest daughter of Dr.James E.and Fannie Kendrick of this place. The deceased was born and raised in Crenshaw County,Al.and was a graduated in Tuscaloosa with marked distinction. Early in life Mrs.Bricken connected herself with M.E.Church. Mrs. Bricken was taken sick on Saturday night, September, 14,1901 suffering intensely until 1 o'clock Sunday morning when she died. Everything was done that medical skill & science could do.When told that she must die,& asked by her pastor if she was ready to go,& said"If it be God's will, it is my will". She leaves a father, mother,sister, two brothers, a husband and three little children.
