Matilda 'Tillie' (Kennedy) Jessome WHITNEY PIER Mary Matilda 'Tillie' Jessome
passed away peacefully Monday, July 18, 2005 , at the MacGillivray Guest Home.
She was the daughter of the late John 'Jack' Kennedy and Theresa 'Teasy'
(Neville) Kennedy.Tillie grew up and lived her life in Whitney Pier on
Matilda
Street, named for her grandmother, Matilda Neville. Tillie loved the Pier,
its people and stories and shared and passed on that love to all she knew,
especially her family. She loved to read and especially enjoyed comedy in
books, movies and theatre, as well as life. Tillie loved to laugh, tell
funny stories and hear them. Her family was most important to her and in
her later years, she most enjoyed being with her children and
grandchildren. Surviving are her sons, Ken and Robert (Karen), daughter,
Lee Ann (Robert) MacDonald,
brother, Carlin (Caroline), and granddaughters, Erin, Danielle and Nicole,
all of Sydney. Tillie was predeceased by her husband, Leo in 2002,
brothers, Michael 'Mick' and Ray.T here will be no visitation. A memorial
mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Church, Thursday, 11 a.m., with Rev.
Errol MacDonald officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials
may be made to the MacGillivray Guest Home. Condolences may be sent to the
