It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our mother, Ethel Beed at the age of 90 on October 24 at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII.
Born in Armdale, Ethel was the daughter of Gertrude (Brunt) and Harry Kennedy.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Albert (Bert) Beed. Mom will be sadly missed by her daughter Heather (Don Harris), her son and daughter Barry and Bonnie Beed, her grandchildren Stephen and Michael Harris. Mom is survived by sisters, Marie Laba, Hazel Keddy and Mary White. She was predeceased by her sister Doris (Doherty) Ross.
Ethel loved music, dancing, social events and summers spent at the family cottage 'Sleepy Hollow' in Queensland.
Visitation will be Monday 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. in Snows Funeral Home, Windsor Street, Halifax. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, at 2 p.m. in St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, North Street and will be officiated by Father Lloyd O'Neill. Burial will follow at the Gates of Heaven in Lower Sackville. Family flowers by request.
