Claire J. Freeman, 75, 135 W. Indiana St, Momence, died at 6:15 a.m. today, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kankakee, following a short illness.
She was born Jan. 8, 1908, in Bourbonnais, to Alfred and Lucretia Kerouac.
Her husband, Harry P. Freeman, to whom she was married Jan. 4, 1930 in Manteno, died July 28, 1952.
Mrs. Freeman was a retired employee of the pediatrics department of St. Mary’s Hospital.
She was a member of St. Patrick Church, Momence, and a member of the St. Anne Sodality of Maternity BVM Church, Bourbonnais.
Survivors include one daughter, Judith Ann Gall of Momence; three grandsons, Paul, Richard and Michael Gall; one sister, Marie Kryznowski of Kankakee; three brothers, Edwin of Manteno, Thomas of Bourbonnais and Vincent of Great Falls, Mont., and several nieces and nephews.
Three brothers and one sister are deceased.
Visitation will be from2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Clancy Funeral Home, Kankakee. A wake service will be held Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
The Rev. Dennis Settles will be celebrant of the funeral mass at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Church, Momence.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the oncology department of St. Mary’s.
