M. Dolores "Dolly" Berry, 88, of La Crescent died Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at Francis-can Skemp Medical Center, La Crosse. She was born in Ridgeway, Minn., on Feb. 17, 1921, to Charles T. and Winifred (Gallagher) Kerrigan.
She married Gerald W. Berry on Sept. 24, 1945, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Ridgeway. He preceded her in death in 2001.
Dolly was a longtime active member of Crucifixion Parish in La Crescent. She was a member of St. Francis Cabrini Circle and was past secretary/treasurer of CCCW, serving from 1958 until 1983. She was an avid bowler and when she lived across the street from Crucifixion School playground, she enjoyed watching the children play and making sure they were always safe.
Dolly is survived by her sister, Marguerite Kerrigan; aunt, Angela DuMond; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles A. Kerrigan.
Burial will be in Crucifixion Cemetery.
