Lillian Geraldine Canary

Lillian Geraldine Canary, 69, died Monday at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She was a resident of Homeview Center of Franklin.

She was born in Whiteland April 27, 1920, to Elmon Kinnick and Edna Kinnick. She married Web Denzil Canary Dec 2. 1939. He died in January 1985. Survivors include three sons, Larry Canary of Franklin, William E. Canary of Franklin and Gene Canary of Beech Grover; four sisters, Irene Walters of Franklin, Margaret Matkins of Beech Grove, Jean Jenson of Plainfield and Elizabeth Graham of Franklin; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Petro and Francis Downing.

She worked at Johnson memorial Hospital for more than 20 years before retiring in the 1970s.

She belonged to First Mount Pleasant Baptish Church in Franklin.

The Rev. E. Richard Lane will conduct a service Thursday at 10 a.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
