Married in 1849 to Henry Boner. Daughter of George Kinnick and Hannah Grimes Kinnick. She and Henry came to Indiana from North Caroline in 1850 with the Kinnick Caravan.
Mother of Sarah Elizabeth, Hannah Jane, Joseph Wesly, George, Mary Savanna, William, Earlie and Ivy Boner. Penelope was a life long member of the Glade Methodist Church. She died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Sarah Speas, due to injuries from a fall.
