The Rev. Juanita K. Cook

The Rev. Juanita Kitchings Cook, 77, of Pooler, died July 18 at home.

She was a longtime resident of Savannah before moving to Pooler more than a year ago. She worked for Union Bag (now International Paper) for 25 years and ministered to the sick and dying in the area before her own illness. She was a member of Coastal Cathedral in Savannah and the widow of Dozier Pope Cook.

SURVIVORS: a son and daughter-in-law, Dozier H. and Toni A. Cook of Pooler; a daughter, Barbara C. Goodwin of Summerville, S.C.; a brother, Alton Kitchings of Savannah; a sister, Eloise Breuton of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren, Rhonda Williams of Sumter, S.C., Cary Goodwin of Rincon, Christopher Cook of Savannah, Carla C. Dooley of Savannah and Anthony Cook of Pooler; three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Massey Chapel, Garden City.

FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Massey Chapel, burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
