Rosemary Klingler, longtime resident of Detroit and Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and later Las Vegas, died October 21, 2016 in Rochester Hills, Michigan. She was 83 years old. Rosemary was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to parents Kathryn (nee Conway) and Theodore Racht.
Rosemary received her Master’s degree in education and became a school teacher as her first profession. In midlife, Rosemary began a successful second career in financial planning and insurance sales. However, Rosemary’s true love was acting, which eventually became her third career. She enjoyed many roles in community theatre in Michigan and Nevada, local and national commercials, and movies, acting under the stage name “Rosemary Rock.”
Rosemary is survived by her beloved children, Eugenie “Genē” Klingler, Theodore Klingler, Roxane (Alan) Dow, Sidney (Jack Walrad) Klingler, Georgia (the late Donald) Michaelsen, and Fritz (JoJo) Klingler, and her cherished grandchildren, Veronica and James Walrad, Maxwell and Fritz Michaelsen, and Nicholas, Charles, Anna, and Jacob Klingler. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Frank DiVito and nephew Theodore DiVito. She is preceded in death by her dear sister, Connie DiVito.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name Catholic Church, 630 Harmon, Birmingham, Michigan, on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 10 am, followed by a lunch gathering at the church. Friends may visit beginning at 9:30 am.
