Joan M. Klingler, age 76, of Maumee, Ohio passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Flower Hospital. Joan was born in Toledo, OH on September 15, 1932, to Walter and Catherine (Matusak) Jakubowski. She was employed at St. Luke's Hospital in the Central Supply Department for 20 years. Joan enjoyed sewing, cooking, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church. Joan and her husband were also member of Lake Erie British Car Club. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Denny; daughter, Kathy Cook; son, Hal (Robin) Klingler; grandchildren, Roy and Bridgette Stevenson and Eric Klingler; great-granddaughter, Kaisha Stevenson; sisters, Dorothy Pence, Evelyn Kline, Barbara (Cas) Rosinki and brother, Robert (Pat) Jakubowski. Joan was preceded in death by her parents and son, Wayne Klingler. A memorial service for Joan will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Arrangements by Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee.
