Rosine Mathilda Affeldt was born at Benson, Minn., Dec. 9, 1894, the daughter of David and Elizabeth Klingler. She was baptized Dec. 24, 1894, at Benson and when she was a young girl she came with her parents to a farm near Lake Reno in Pope county, where she grew to womanhood. On Dec. 23, 1914, she was united in marriage to Herman John Affeldt. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Affeldt lived at Forada for seven years then moved to Miltona where they made their residence until 1943 when they came to Alexandria where Mrs. Affeldt has made her residence for the past 12 years. She was confirmed at the Zion Lutheran church in Alexandria by Rev. A. C. Seltz.
She suffered a stroke on Saturday, Dec. 17 and passed away the same evening at the age of 61 years and 8 days. Surviving are six children: (Dorothy) Mrs. Henry Engfer, Delbert, Freddie, Raymond, Arthur and (Viola) Mrs. Loren Jacobson, all of Alexandria. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Sarah Kamps, of Forada; and seven brothers, William Klingler of Denver, Colo., Ed Klingler of Perham, Minn., Frank Klingler of Vanvouver, Wash., Joe Klingler of Salem, Oregon, Albert Klingler of Ottertail, Minn., Charles Klingler of Breckenridge, Minn., and Fred Klingler of Flint, Mich. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister and one brother.
