Martha S. Buck

Martha S. Buck, 92, of Columbus died at 10:23 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001, at Columbus Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She retired as a teacher from the school system in Bradenton, Fla. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Mercer, Pa., and Trinity United Methodist Church in Bradenton. She was a graduate of Clarion University, with a degree in education.

She moved to Columbus in 1991.

Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Knox Union Cemetery in Knox, Pa.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana or Free Methodist Church.

Born Nov. 16, 1909, in New Hebron, Ill., Mrs. Buck was the daughter of Oliver and Ida Fye Klingler. She married Sheridan L. Buck April 7, 1934. He died July 16, 1954.

Survivors include a son, Craig Buck of Columbus; grandchildren, Ronald Clark, Deborah Howard and Craig A. Buck, all of Columbus, Lori Gay of Indianapolis and Robin McGraw of Greenwood; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Brance S. Buck, and a brother, Harold Klingler.
