Mrs. Jennie E. Partlow, 94, of South College street, died at 10:30 o'clock yesterday morning at the residence. She was the wife of the late Calvin M. Partlow, one of the first game wardens in Illinois, being appointed in the early eighties. He also was employed in the offices of Secretary of State Henry Dement and Secretary of State Isaac Pearson.
Mrs. Partlow was born Jan. 25, 1840, at St. Joseph, Mo., where she grew to womanhood. She was educated in St. Mary's convent, and Oct. 3, 1870, she married Mr. Partlow who died twenty years ago.
She is survived by one daughter, Jeanette Maude Partlow and three nieces. Three children, Lewis, Arthur and Adella Grace, preceded their mother in death.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at Thomas C. Smith Sons funeral chapel. Interment will be in Oak Ridge cemetery. Mrs. Partlow was a member of Westminster Presbyterian church. IL State Journal, Springfield, IL, 7-15-1934
