Winifred I. Buss, age 89, a resident of Laurel Grove Assisted Living, Manitowoc, died Monday morning, January 9, 2017 at the home.
She was born on February 8, 1927 in Bristol, WI., daughter of the late Glenn and Laura (Schonscheck) Knapp. On September 20, 1947 she married Milton Buss in Manitowoc. The couple owned and operated a dairy farm in the Newton area for many years, retiring in 1987. Milton preceded her in death on July 20, 2009. Winifred was a member of the White Trail Homemakers for 60 years.
Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law: Wendell & Harriet Knapp, Manitowoc; nieces and nephews: Merlin & Sue Lannbrecht, Oshkosh, Randy & Nancy Knapp, Manitowoc, Lyle & Mary Beth Lannbrecht, Brillion, Carolyn & Henry Jensen, Manitowoc, Linda & Tim Matthias, Whitelaw; and special friends: Larry & Aggie Schmitz & family, Manitowoc. She was also preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law: Alta & Edgar Lannbrecht.
Funeral Services held at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church, Newton. Rev. Kyle Sorensen officiating. Entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, assisting.
