Christine A. Knappenberger, 78, of Lower Heidelberg Twp. passed away Thursday, April 25th, 2013, at St.
Joseph Medical Center.
Her husband, John K. "Jack" Knappenberger Jr., died in 1989.
Born in Reading, October 10, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Frank Stees Batdorff and the late Elfena (Eichner) Batdorff.
She was a graduate of Reading High School.
She last worked for Graffius Burial Vault Company in Sinking Spring.
She was an active member and volunteer of St. John's (Hain's) U.C.C., a longtime volunteer at the Berks County Heritage Center, and a volunteer with the Altrusa International of Reading.
Christine loved gardening and will always be remembered for her contagious giggle.
She is survived by two sons, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Interment at Hain's Church Cemetery.
