Mrs. Cropp, Knox, ED, Dies Wednesday at 92

KNOX -- Mrs. Maude Cropp, 92, of Cropps Corner, Knox, RD, widow of William Cropp, died at 5 a.m. Wednesday in the home of her great-niece, Mrs. Marian VanWomer of Emlenton RD 3, following a short illness.
Born March 26, 1876 in Salem Township, Clarion County, she was the daughter of Daniel and Phobe Franz Knappenberger.
She married March 16, 1898 to William Cropp, who preceded her in death December 26, 1964.
Mrs. Cropp was a life-long member of St, Mark United Church of Christ at Monroe and had been a life member of the Women's Guild of the church.
She also was a member of the Monroe Community Club.
Surviving are a son, Willard Cropp of Cropps Corners; and two nieces, Mrs. Cathryn Mong of Knox and Mrs. Geraldine Shirey of Rochester, NY.
Removal was made to the William N. Rupert Funeral Home in Knox, where friends will be received after 2 p.m. today.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, Rev. William A. Boyer, pastor of St. Mark United Church of Christ will officiate.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
