She was born September 25, 1926, in Jackson, TN; the daughter of McKinley and Ruth Knox. Fannie lived in Rockford since 1941, coming from Jackson, TN. She married John Barbee September 28, 1946, in Rockford, he preceded her in death. Fannie was employed as a custodian by Ingersoll Milling and Barber Colman Company before retiring. She was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, formerly serving with the Willing Workers, Missionary Society, Senior Choir and Volunteer for Vacation Bible School. She attended school in Jackson, TN. Fannie leaves to cherish many loving memories, two daughters, Gloria (James) Blakney and Pamela Marshall; two sons, John Barbee and Dale Barbee; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one sister, Callie Jenkins; a host of other relatives and friends including her special cousin, Mary Herron. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; son, Cornell Barbee; two sisters, L.V. Coker and Grace Knox.
