Mrs. Alber was born June 1, 1919, in Polo, Ill., the daughter of Paul and Hazel (Meyers) Knox. She married Leo J. Alber on Aug. 27, 1938, in Clinton, Iowa.
He died June 26, 1996. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Milledgeville and was active in the women's groups at church.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Lou (Jim) Sauer of Sauk City; a son, William "Gene" (Mary) Alber of Monroe City, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister, Daun Meyer; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 11, 2006, at 11 a.m. at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH in Milledgeville with the Rev. Kathy Burkheimer officiating.
