An Inquiry into the death of Edward Kondratowicz 13, of 1904 Eric Boulevard West, fatally hurt by an automobile at Willis and Milton Avenues at 5 P. M. yesterday, was being made today by Coroner William K. Winne. The boy was selling papers at the corner when he was hit by the car. He died in Syracuse Memorial Hospital immediately after his arrival there in the car which hit him.

James Miller, 26, of 213 Tompkins Street, the driver, was under instructions to appear today for questioning. he told the Coroner just after accident that he was headed east in Milton Avenue and had slowed down to make a turn into Willis Avenue. He reduced his speed more, he said, when he saw, ahead of him, one boy pushing another in a small cart. Without warning, he said, the boy who was pushing the cart suddenly let go turned and started back for the curb. Miller said he ran directly against the automobile. The driver's two companions—Raymond Flaherty ,of 108 Stanton Avenue. Solvay, and Robert Needham, of 206 Pharis Street—corroborated Miller's account. After striking the boy, Miller stopped his car, picked up the injured lad and drove to Erie Boulevard and Salina Street, where patrolman Francis Garn got in with him and cleared a path through traffic on the rest of the journey to the hospital.

An autopsy performed by Dr. J Howard Ferguson, county necrotomist, showed that the boy died of a skull fracture.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kondratowicz, who have five other children three sons, John, Jr. Wallace and Joseph, and two daughters, Arllne and Hedwick.

The funeral will be conducted from the home at 830 o'clock Saturday morning and at 9 o'clock in Sacred Heart Church, where a mass of requiem will be celebrated. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
