The deceased was born in Bohemia, Austria on September 18th, 1871 and was thus approaching his 58th birthday. When about 13 years old he came to America with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Kraus, who settled immediately in New Ulm. He has since resided here. He was married to Miss Theresa Kahout November 11, 1903, at the Holy Trinity Catholic church in this city. Four sons were born, one of whom passed away six years ago at the age of 14. He leaves to mourn his untimely passing his wife, and three sons, namely : Anton Kraus Jr.,Madison, Wis.; Louis Kraus of New Ulm, and John Kraus at home. His aged father, George Kraus, Sr.,and four brothers and two sisters, George, Wenzel, John and Joseph Kraus, all of New Ulm; Mrs. George Groebner of Sigel township, and Mrs. Joseph Rewitzer. of this city, also mpurn.
Funeral services were held from St. Mary's Catholic church Saturday morning at 9 o'clock, and interment will be made in the Catholic cemetery.
