Anna L. Kreger, 89, Markleton, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 in Somerset Hospital. She was born November 1, 1927 in Kingwood, a daughter of William W. and Pearl (Clevenger) Kreger. Her parents and a brother, Harold, preceded her in death. She is survived by brothers, John W. Kreger, Sr., Markleton, Charles W. Kreger and wife, Coral Lee, Markleton, and Orville K. “Tub” Kreger and friend, Ellen Hunt, Washington and a sister, Dorothy Ziegenfuss, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Harold Kreger, Jr., Larry Kreger, Kerry Kreger, John Kreger, Jr., Paula Whaley, Lori Smith, David Kreger, Kevin Kreger, Leslie Doughty, Bradley Kreger, Mark Kreger and Bill Kreger; also, numerous great nieces and nephews. Anna was a retired LPN and a longtime volunteer at the New Centerville Farmer’s and Thresherman’s Jubilee and the Kingwood Picnic. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Anna’s caregivers during her time of need – Cindy Hay, Kathy Parnell and Rose Hostetler. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will be held at 11 AM Friday with Rev. James Monticue officiating. Interment will follow in Kingwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. There will be viewing one hour prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Kingwood Church of God “Raise the Roof Fund” would be appreciated..
